Wave and wind figures are numerical forecast model output, not buoy observations. Treat as guidance, not a substitute for looking at the water. Beach orientation assumed 125° — offshore wind is NW.
Surf and Sail scores are scaled by the weather: thunderstorms, rain, fog and extreme temperatures all pull them down, and a storm forecast within the next few hours pulls them down before it arrives. Forecast lightning is not a lightning detector — if you can hear thunder, get out of the water regardless of what this page says.
